It is derived from the French word évaporation, which means 'evaporation.' The water inside the closed body evaporates due to the outside temperature and the additional heat from the LED. The water vapor condenses on the curved dome within the closed body and eventually gathers at its lowest point. Once enough water accumulates, it falls as droplets into the water in the vessel, creating movements that are projected as light patterns into the room. Throughout the process, I conducted various tests with different vessels, light angles, water volumes, and distances to create an atmospheric light. By utilizing evaporation, I discovered a natural cycle to avoid mechanical components within or on the object. The carrying and support structure can be adjusted as desired, allowing the light to be portable, placed, or hung.
